I do love a neat and tidy linen closet, so you can just imagine the little 'Yay!' moment I had this weekend, when I came up with this new free sewing project! Now, instead of dragging all my sheets out to see if they're single, queen or what-not, I can simply refer to the cute, appliquéd letters on my new linen tidies. Now, if only I could work out how to fold my fitted sheets properly... any tips?
Simply left click on the link above and save it to your desktop,
darlings, that always does the trick for me! Enjoy!

Perfectly suited for the silly in love, or those in love with the silly, Smitten Sticks are the love child of creative duo Edyta Szyszlo and Vana Chupp. This is what happens when a wedding photographer and a paper stylist get together... handmade paper expressions, mustaches and the like, mounted on sticks for easy hand-holding. Was there champagne involved? I don't know, but I love everything about this fun idea, perfect for photo booths and parties and, well, just about anything!

Artist Danna Ray most eloquently describes her work as an exploration of the inherent transience and connectedness of all things. It's an apt description of her soft and subtle illustrations of cloud and sky, mountain and grass, and that which exists in between. I'm especially drawn to her calm palette of creamy yellow, pastel blue and indigo.

Okay, so we know Melbourne has some of the most talented designers in Australia (ahem!) but what about stylists... well, we've got those too! Take my latest foodie crush Deborah McLean, for example. If there's one thing I love more than delicious desserts, its pretty-looking delicious desserts! I mean, aren't these shots just pure perfection? As if a little fairy (that would be Deb!) sprinkled icing sugar over everything...

Stunning Rita Hayworth, in an unbelievably sexy lace gown, caught my eye on Pinterest last week and I've been meaning to post about her ever since. She's the perfect Vintage Icon; a true glamour girl of the 1940s. She danced with Fred Astaire and was a popular pin-up girl for military servicemen. It's hard to believe, but she once described herself as 'painfully shy'. I'm not sure I'd be shy if I looked like that, would you?
"I guess the only jewels of my life, were the pictures I made with Fred Astaire."

Right now, I'm pinning these polaroid-style shots for Hermés new J'aime Mon Carré campaign. The vintage vibe and seventies palette is making me swoon! There's so many different styles of scarves and so many ways to wear them, it's really hard to choose a favourite, that's for sure. Having said that, I can't take my eyes off that galloping horse print. Must have, ladies, must have.

Louise Evans is one of those people... you know, the extremely creative, tirelessly busy sort that seem to be doing a million things at once and pulling it off with flair? Well, I'm here to cheer her on! And to start, I'd like to show off these nautical themed goodies from her shop Louloudo on Etsy. Her little bio says she loves recycling things as much as possible into new, nicer things to make us happy. Worked on me.

Oh, how I love shopping for Peachy Prints... Just look at what I found today, my darlings. Combining quite a bunch of my favourite things (fabric, paper, thread), the whimsical illustrations of Nikki Catalano are precisely what I needed to brighten up my day. She describes herself as a dreamer who loves drawing birds and bunnies best.

A little more vintage wrapping paper from my stash to brighten up your day. Doesn't it just make you want to throw a bridal shower? Too cute, I say! Buttermilk yellow, robin's egg blue and fairy floss pink are such a charming trio, don't you think? Reminds me of cupcake frosting and those divine sugar Easter eggs my mother used to make.

Cute as a button and sexy too, beautiful and blonde Elke Sommers thrilled audiences of the sixties and seventies in a series of spy intrigues and cheeky comedies. With her trademark pouty lips and sky-high bouffant (I mean, how cool is her hair-do?), she lit up the silver screen and the pages of Playboy magazine. I think I liked her best in A Shot in The Dark, where she played femme fatale to the clueless Inspector Clousseau.

Now, you all know I have a thing for decorating with print and pattern (and cheery colours!), so you'll be pleased to know that no, I haven't been living under a rock all this time... I have found Skinny LaMinx, hooray! The question is, have you? Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, this clever illustrator and designer is quite an inspiration. Cloud Birds and Colts are my two favourite fabrics, in pretty much every colourway.

This week's little Etsy Love is Ghostly Ferns, not only because I've fallen for her vintage floral sneakers, but because I'm seriously diggin' this girl's style. Meg is a graphic and web designer (just like me!) who is obsessed with Sweden and cous cous, snap! Plus, in addition to having an eye for groovy vintage shoes, she makes some pretty neat jewellery too! Here's my fave. Oh, and be sure to enter her giveaway too, folks!
