Fashion Fancies: Lonely Hearts Lingerie

Another little crush I developed whilst shopping in wild and windy Wellington, New Zealand, Lonely Hearts is a Kiwi label with a cult following. Designed by three friends with a penchant for pretty prints, fine fabrics and modern but vintage inspired shapes, Lonely by Lonely Hearts is their oh-so playful lingerie line. As suited to swanning about one's parlor as to peeking out from underneath a prim dress, I just love the combination of grungy and girly. If only I could have been brave enough to take off my coat and try something on. Winter, you are affecting my ability to shop.

Peachy Prints: Sarah McNeil

Now, I know she's no secret to the blogging world, but no Kisses for Kiwis Week would be complete without Sarah McNeil and her soft, dream-like animal drawings and cute handknit accessories. Not only is she super talented and loved by fans around the world, she's a real sweetheart too! Sarah has actually very kindly recommended a bunch of her favourite Kiwi artists and designers for this week's special feature. What a gem! And what a great way to kick off Kisses for Kiwis Week. Hello lovelies! Well, I'm home again after a wonderful holiday in New Zealand and, as you may have noticed, Wolf and Willow has a fresh new look to welcome me home - yay! Project Pretty House: More Geometric Goodness!

I love all types of geometric patterns and I REALLY love yellow and gray. I am constantly trying to think of ways to add both elements to any of my rooms designs. So when I saw these rugs from The Rug Company, I gasped with glee! There is just something so chic yet modern about this rug. It can go in a more 'girly' space to give color and texture. Any way that you look at this rug, it rocks!! Now, how do we get that price tag lowered?

Field Journal: I Miss You, Harvey!

Well, it's week two of my holiday and whilst I'm having an amazing time with the beautiful scenery in New Zealand, there's just one thing I really miss... cuddles from my dog, Harvey. Isn't he beautiful? I miss the way he throws his little paws around my neck, squeezes me tight and wiggles with delight each time I walk in the door. And, if I tap my finger on my cheek and say the word "kisses" he'll even give me a smooch! How lucky am I to have a best friend like him? That's him sitting on my Louis XIV butterfly armchair (a wedding gift from mum). He's really not supposed to be up there... but how could you say "no" to a face like that?

Hi! I’m Princess Tatiana, peeking in from So Not A Princess. I’m thrilled to be given the privilege of writing for Nancy’s lovely blog while she is off gallivanting abroad.

Long a favourite of mine, Louise Brooks was a star from the silent era, most famous for her role as Lulu in Pandora’s Box (1929), directed by the German G.W. Pabst. In it she plays the quintessential young flapper, and is everything you imagine a flapper to be: fast and flighty; pretty, dangerous – and doomed; a romantic and tragic figure.

In life she was that: rebellious, difficult, notorious for her salty language, a spendthrift, alcoholic, sexually liberated; and eventually blacklisted by Hollywood. But for all that she is utterly mesmerising: an ‘amazing personality’ with a dazzling smile; ‘kind and generous to her friends almost to a fault’ according to her biographers. And of course there is her bobbed hairstyle: iconic long before anyone was asking for the ‘Aniston’.

Hello there! It's Anastasia here today and I'm super excited to be guest blogger as I just adore Nancy's blog!! She always shares beautiful images, inspirations and wonderful finds! With today's post, I wanted to show some amusing fashion images of girls in cars. Vintage cars are always fun to look at aren't they? It's like they demand a moment of our time to just stop and stare... not that there are many on the road these days as eveyone wants the latest of everything.

I actually got my driver's license at the ripe old age of 22, and after overcoming my driving fears it was replaced by the exhilirating feeling when getting behind the wheel and just driving... in control of your destination... and enjoying the ride!

Peachy Prints: Dreamweaver

The night before I flew out for New Zealand I stumbled upon these enchanting illustrations by fellow Melbourne artist YeeVon Chan and I just fell in love. I couldn't wait to post about her, so here I am just one day into my holiday and already popping in to post! These ones are titled The Dreamweaver and Autumn Spirit, how lovely is that? Aside from sharing a love of chocolate and forest animals, YeeVon is working on a little something special for Wolf and Willow right now... but you'll just have to wait and see. Field Journal: The Land of the Long White Cloud

Hello sweet peas! As some of you may have heard, today I'm flying off to the Land of the Long White Cloud... New Zealand, that is! Yes, in the middle of winter. Scary!
I have packed several outfits made entirely of wool, including dresses, socks, stockings, scarves, mittens and quite a few thermals, thank you very much! However, much to
Mr. Wolf's dismay, I refuse to wear ugly shoes that match the ground (i.e. hiking boots). So, unless I'm on my snowboard, I'll still be wearing heels or ballerina flats.
I sure hope it doesn't rain too much...

I'll be stopping by, whenever and wherever I can, and reporting back on all the wonderful Kiwi artists and designers I'm sure to find. In the meantime, I've asked some very talented bloggers to take care of you while I'm away, so you can expect the next two weeks on Wolf and Willow to be as magical and inspiring as ever. Fashion Fancies: Roses, Lavender and Lace

I'm falling in love with all the lovely lace and tulle and soft, soft sunlight in these photos from Harpers Bazaar (the May Romanian edition, I think). I'm also coveting those sheer white stockings and the dusky mauve floral chaise she's draped over. Oh, and the rosettes and feathers too! It's all so dreamy and reminds me of indulgent sorts of things like lavender ice cream, lazy sunday mornings and rose tea. Sigh.

Fabric Fantastic: Beci Orpin

Okay, this one's from the archives, but I thought I'd share it with you anyway (just for fun!) because I bought a rather snazzy safari coat last week and it got me thinking... National treasure Beci Orpin created these yardage prints for Lisa Gorman last year, I think. I mean, could you imagine a better combo? I still feel they're very fresh and adorable, don't you? Perhaps they'll make a comeback? Beci's recent projects include a range of childrens clothing, some fab book projects and cute and quirky homewares. I can't wait to see what she comes up with next. I promise to keep you posted.

Project Pretty House: Vintage Tins and Jars

I'm having antique shopping withdrawals at the moment, so finding these great vintage tins and jars on Etsy today was a real treat! They're from a quaint little shop called Ethanollie and they'd all look fabulous in my house. I might even use some of those tins to make these cute magnetic organizers when I get back from vacation. Bright blue and acid yellow look great together, don't you think? Ooh, I wonder if I'll find any antiques in New Zealand? Oh, gosh I sure hope so!!
